3 – 3D mapping system


Development of a 3D-mapping system to enable semi-automated plant exploration of new or modified factory areas.

Currently, the initial installation time of the AGV system is very high, since every possible pallet position in every rack and the landmark positions need to be determined manually in very high precision (few millimeters).

The aim of PAN-Robots is to reduce the required installation time dramatically. This will be achieved by the development of a so called ‘mapping AGV’ which will provide a 3D-map of the factory.
